EU Battery Regulation: EV Battery Carbon Footprint Declaration from 2026

The EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 is being phased in. As of 2026, EV batteries must be accompanied by a carbon footprint declaration. TSINGHU recommends manufacturers establish carbon accounting systems early, choose compliant materials and processes, and maintain close communication with notified bodies.
