# How long does new-energy product certification usually take?

> Typical ranges when samples and documents are complete, varying by product and market.

UN 38.3 takes about 2 to 3 weeks; CE (EMC/LVD) about 3 to 5 weeks; IEC 62619 or UL 1973 about 6 to 10 weeks; system-level UL 9540 and vehicle E-Mark about 8 to 16 weeks. Actual lead time depends on sample quantity, the number of remediation rounds and laboratory scheduling; the project plan sets out milestones and buffers.
