# BIS · BIS Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS)

India's market-access scheme for products in the compulsory registration scope. Testing must be completed at a BIS-recognised Indian laboratory — overseas reports are generally not accepted. Once registered, the standard mark and registration number (R-number) may be applied.
